LGBTQ+ History Month is observed every year in the United States during October to raise awareness of the history of LGBTQ+ people. LGBTQ+ History Month provides role models, builds community, and represents a civil rights statement about the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.
At the Wednesday, September 18, 2024 Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education meeting, Resolution #24/25-10 in Support of LGBTQ+ History Month was approved.
The District believes that all students should be able to embrace who they are and attend school in a safe and inclusive environment, free from discrimination and the District’s Board of Education affirms its commitment to support LGBTQ+ youth.
