Jillian Kroytoro is an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Be Me Preschool, where she utilizes her 15 years of expertise in the classroom to support some of the District’s youngest students. She joined the CVUSD team during the 2022-2023 school year, and has made an invaluable impact, as a leader, and positive role model ever since. Ms. Kroytoro embodies the qualities of an exceptional educator: dedication, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to student success. Her impact extends far beyond the classroom, shaping the overall growth and development of our youngest students, and we are proud to honor her as the Conejo Valley Unified School District’s September 2024 Teacher of the Month!
Ms. Kroytoro implements picture schedules, visuals for following class routines, token systems, transition objects, and sensory tools to support students as they acquire important school readiness skills. She provides a language-rich environment, and instruction that allows students to build their language skills. She goes above and beyond to meet the needs of each of her students, adapting her classroom setting, and teaching strategies to provide them with individualized support to help them succeed.
Ms. Kroytoro is a team player who works collaboratively with Paraeducators, Speech/Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other service providers to ensure students’ skills in all modalities are developed.
She is dedicated to every student feeling valued, understood and welcomed. Through the planning of engaging lessons that are developmentally appropriate for student success, she takes time to celebrate each student’s accomplishments. Her positive attitude is a beacon and shines through in all she does for her students.
Ms. Kroytoro’s colleagues state she is, “simply amazing,” and that they are lucky to work alongside her.
At the Tuesday, September 24th Be Me Preschool Staff Meeting, Ms. Kroytoro was surprised with the September 2024 Teacher of the Month recognition. She was presented with a commemorative plaque from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce to honor her special recognition, along with a $300 teacher grant from the Conejo Schools Foundation, and gifts/congratulatory wishes from members of the Chamber’s Education Committee.
