School Counselors reduce barriers to learning and provide the support necessary for all students to achieve at the highest level possible. CVUSD is proud to celebrate its School Counselors for their hard work and dedication to our students and entire school communities. We celebrate their invaluable contributions all year through and especially this National School Counseling Week: February 5th through February 9th.
National School Counseling Week 2024, “School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), focuses public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
At the Wednesday, January 17th Board of Education meeting, Resolution #23/24-20 in Support of National School Counseling Week was approved.
The special week honoring school counselors provides recognition for school counselors who “implement comprehensive school counseling programs, a vital part of the educational process for all students as they meet the challenges of the 21st century,”
