Thousand Oaks High School’s Daniel Bell Earns Woodworking/Construction Teacher of the Year Recognition

Congratulations to Daniel Bell for being selected as the High School Teacher of the Year in Woodworking/Construction by the Los Angeles Industrial Technology Education Association. 

Mr. Bell works tirelessly to share his real-world contractor expertise with Thousand Oaks High School Lancer students. He leads the Woodworking Principles, Construction Technology, and Architectural Design classes. 

Mr. Bell has a vision of what skills students need to develop to make home repairs, as well as to be prepared for a career in the woodworking and construction industries.  His leadership has redefined what a "woodshop" should look like and now houses state-of-the-art machines that students use to create top-level projects. 

Mr. Bell also coordinates the TOHS Construction Technology Team that competes in the Construction industry Education Foundation Design Build Competition.  Mr. Bell's students have won the CIEF Safety Award the last two years! 

Students in Mr. Bell's classes can earn their OSHA-10 Safety Certification that will help them earn employment during school and after graduation.  The Thousand Oaks High and greater CVUSD community are inspired by Mr. Bell's hard work. leadership, and vision for the Construction Tech/Architecture Pathway Programs.  Click here to learn more about the Residential and Commercial Construction Pathway at Thousand Oaks High School.
