Congratulations Gina Mandell - New Principal of Madroña Elementary School!

Pending Board of Education approval on Tuesday, November 1, 2022: CVUSD, Madroña staff and parent representatives have selected Mrs. Gina Mandell as the next Principal of Madroña Elementary.  Mrs. Mandell has most recently served as the Coordinator for our Teacher Induction Program in CVUSD.  Prior to that she was a teacher at Los Cerritos Middle School and Lang Ranch Elementary where she served in leadership positions at each site. 

Mrs. Mandell comes to Madroña with an extensive background in education. She brings experience as a professional educator having taught a variety of grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade, leading as an English Department Chair, and working with students and families as both a GATE and English Learner Advisor. In her role in CVUSD’s Teacher Induction Program, she supported new teachers in their early careers and managed the CVUSD New Teacher Induction Program as Coordinator. Combining a passion for learning and creating a culture of belonging, Mrs. Mandell hopes to bring energy and excitement to the Madroña Mustang community.
