Bill Gorback was born and raised outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University. Moving to California, he taught elementary, middle, and high school for twenty years, including twelve years at Moorpark High. He has a Masters Degree in Psychology/Counseling and was a school counselor for eighteen years, serving students and their families from elementary through high school. Bill and his wife have four children, who attended CVUSD schools, and seven grandchildren.
