• Be Present! Be Involved! Volunteer!

In order to volunteer on campus, please review and complete the following requirements:

    1. Print and sign the Volunteer Code of Conduct form (valid for one year only)

    2. Print, complete, and sign the Volunteer Registration Authorization form (valid for one year only)

    3. Print and have a medical professional (doctor, physician's assistant, or registered nurse) complete the Adult TB Risk Questionnaire (valid four years from testing date)

    4. Due to school district Covid regulations volunteers have two options:
    a.  Provide proof of completed Covid Vaccinations (we do not need to photocopy), OR
    b.  Obtain weekly Covid testing from an authorized test site and provide weekly proof
    of the Covid-negative results
to our office manager, Jacquie Wright. Please
understand that if you are unable to follow this schedule, you will not be
allowed onto campus. **Please see our HEALTH page if you would find a
recommendation for a weekly test site helpful.**

Volunteers are special and necessary people at Weathersfield Elementary. As parents, it is important to know what's happening in your children's classrooms, as well as being a part of budding or continuing friendships. In addition, being active allows you the opportunity to be a part of the larger Weathersfield community - meeting others with similar interests, and most importantly, having fun!

We appreciate your willingness to serve as a parent volunteer! YOU are vital to the success of our wide-range of programs at Weathersfield; there are many ways to volunteer to make our fantastic school an even better place for our children. After all this is where they spend most of their time!

You may have a few hours to just a few minutes during the week, but no matter what your schedule looks like, we can always use a helping hand. We have opportunities both during the day and after hours, as well as tasks you can do from home (for those who work full-time this may be something you might want to consider). No deed is too small, so come and get involved!

Just a few things for you to consider when volunteering...
As Volunteers we are making a commitment to the school, to the classroom, and, most importantly, to our children, to let them know we will do our share in contributing to the success of the school community. To acknowledge this, we ask you review our Volunteer Guidelines to make sure you understand what volunteering is about.

For volunteers who work for an employer who contributes dollars for volunteer hours...
Please consider logging in your hours with your employer and allocating the matching funds to Weathersfield Elementary School or the PTA. This would go a long way to supporting many of our in-school and after-school programs.

    Thank you!

    Volunteer Donations

Weathersfield always welcomes your generous tax-deductible donations to the school. When paying by check, you can make your donation out to the school (Weathersfield Elementary School) or to the PTA (Weathersfield Elementary School PTA).

If you work for an employer who matches donated funds, please consider submitting a donations match so the dollars are maximized.

Some employers also contribute for the time you spent volunteering at the school. Please consider logging in your hours with your employer and allocating the matching funds to Weathersfield Elementary School or the PTA. This would go a long way to supporting many of our in-school and after-school programs.

Your employer may require some initial information to set up the giving program (e.g. contact information and tax identification). Please contact our PTA President for additional information.
