Walnut is one of seven CVUSD elementary schools that receives school-wide Federal Title I funds to support effective, evidence-based educational strategies that close achievement gaps and enable all students to meet the state's challenging academic standards.  Walnut's spending of its extra Title 1 funds is overseen by the School Site Council (SSC) and English Language Advisory Board (ELAC).  We invest in hiring extra credentialed teachers to provide intervention and enrichment, individualized digital programs, targeted professional development for classroom teachers, and additional support materials to help all students meet their academic goals.
