• PTA President's Letter

Welcome to all Madroña families, students, and staff,

My name is Rosie Addison, and I am proud to serve as your PTA President for the 2024-2025 school year. I am a mother of two current Madroña students (TK and 4th grade) and my oldest is now at Redwood beginning his middle school journey. I have served on the Madroña PTA Executive Board as Secretary and School Site Council for two years. During that time, I was able to see how Madroña had responded to the pandemic and the resulting consequences. Parents and staff responded quickly and with flexibility to answer the greatest demands as they popped up.

The intention of any PTA is to bridge the gap between staff and parents so that students and staff alike are supported. Our goal at Madroña PTA has been to listen to staff, families, and students about the needs that we hope to accomplish in partnership. In recent years, PTA has helped Madroña and CVUSD in this effort by financially supporting art, dance, music, and PE specialists; fundraising for supplies for all the school’s activities, including field trips; and monetarily and directly supporting the construction and planning of the new dance studio.

We ask for your help and partnership in continuing to build our school and community as a safe, uplifting, and inspiring place of learning for all who enter our campus. A membership of $20 goes 100% to the PTA to continue to provide services and support to our greatest asset, our students. Your support matters to the student in your life and any help you can give to PTA goes far in building a community of learning.

    Thank you
