    Offering a personalized approach to learning, Century Academy utilizes a blended learning model to serve grades 6-12. To ensure the success of all students, Century is comprised of three key components to educate the whole child: Flexible online curriculum, weekly on-ground courses and individual weekly advising sessions. Blended Learning, the backbone of Century’s model, is a hybrid teaching methodology which combines traditional classroom methods and independent study. Students will find the majority of their course resources online and accessible through any device with an internet connection.

    Century Academy offers Honors and Advanced Placement courses, a small school community, and individualized learning plans. The counseling and administrative team work with each family starting with their initial consultation which introduces them to the academy. At Century, you will find: options for customizing time on campus to balance student extracurricular and professional demands, individual and small group counseling support, one-on-one college pathway coaching, a balance between social-emotional development and academic rigor.

    Students attending Century are eligible to participate in all sports and fine arts programs available throughout the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Additionally, many Century students take advantage of dual-enrollment which allows them to add courses at a junior college to their high-school schedule.

    Conejo Valley High School is recognized by the state of California as a Model Continuation High School. The high school serves a diverse student population who are primarily 16-18 years old. Students originally come to CVHS because they are behind in credits and are not on track to graduate. Students at Conejo Valley High School are quickly integrated into a caring and supportive community that makes them feel valued, builds their confidence and helps them to find renewed hope in their future. Students attending CVHS earn a high school diploma and must meet the same graduation requirements of students at the district’s traditional high schools. Programs offered include Career and Technical Education, Support Groups, Work Experience and courses offered through Moorpark College earning dual credit. We offer several extra-curricular activities including an Interact Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Yearbook, Leadership, and intramural sports.

    Newbury Park High School is home to the oldest and largest International Baccalaureate (IB) program in the region. Our Diploma Program (DP) is a rigorous pre-university course of study for highly motivated secondary school students. This broad and balanced curriculum requires 11th and 12th grade IB diploma candidates to study multiple languages, social science, experimental science, mathematics, and an elective.

    As an alternative to the full diploma program, students may choose to test in one or more IB subjects for individual course recognition.

    The Majors Program is overseen by a full time Career Education teacher and offers students the opportunities and resources to explore their unique areas of interest, and to develop their career-related strengths and goals. Our Career Technical Education (CTE) Career Pathways includes Robotics, Biotechnology, Stagecraft, Video Production and Broadcasting.

    NPHS’s comprehensive extra-curricular program includes over 70 interest groups and clubs, 24 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) competitive sports, featuring league and CIF championship teams, numerous student athletes who play at the collegiate and professional level, and full-time programs in band, dance, instrumental music, theater and cheer.

    Save the Date: Future Lancer Night: Wednesday December 6, 2023 at 6pm

    Our Center for Advanced Studies and Research provides gifted and high-achieving students with the opportunity to engage in disciplined and scholarly research through college-level courses such as AP Seminar, AP Research-Humanities/Social Sciences, AP Research-STEM, AP English Literature and Senior Culminating Experience. The Center equips students with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for post-secondary success and to stand out to top universities in the college admissions process. Students are eligible to apply to The Center in January of their freshman year.

    Thousand Oaks High School EThOS Entrepreneurship Academy is a “school within a school” and it’s one of just three entrepreneurship academies in California. Our academy is designed for students who seek the tools to nurture their creativity and become self-starters. Through the Academy, students create, promote and build a business model around a product they conceptualize. Applications are available to freshman students.

    TOHS’s Advancement Via Individualized Determination (AVID) program's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Students apply to be part of the AVID program at the end of their 8th grade year and are selected by a team of high school teachers, administrator and counselor. During each year, students in the program will be enrolled in an AVID elective where research-based strategies and curriculum for academic success are taught through integration within this and other AVID courses. Students enrolled in the elective also receive additional academic support in the form of tutorials that are embedded in this class two days per week. AVID program students will attend at least eight college visits over their four year career, in an effort to expose all students to higher education opportunities.

    The Majors Program at TOHS is a terrific way to connect to campus and peers while learning more about future career opportunities. Monthly lunchtime meetings feature guest speakers, teacher support, field trips, student projects, internships and more. There are currently 18 majors, including Architecture/Building/Construction, Business/Finance/HRT/Marketing, and Health Science.

    Our Academic Support Centers offer peer-to-peer based academic support service for students in the areas of English, Math, Science, World Language, and Social Science. These centers are open at lunch for students to drop in and receive help and support.

    Our Science Career Emphasis Program (SCEP) provides an opportunity for students to incentivize students to complete activities that promote a deeper focus in an area of science, to develop skills associated with careers, to incorporate careers into the curriculum, to make the content more relevant, and to provide context for doing the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices. The emphasis programs include Biology, Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Criminology, Earth Science, Environmental, Medical/Health, Pharmacology, and Physics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

    The WHS Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway Program gives students the opportunity to acquire the depth of knowledge and skills linked to specific post-secondary programs that will lead to a certification or a degree. Each pathway consists of 2 or 3 sequential courses that support a specific career field. Pathway students also participate in Essential Career Connections such field trips, networking, job shadowing, competitions, special projects, resume building, interview practice, mentors, and internships.
