  • INFORMATION REGARDING DEVELOPER DONATION SCHOOL FACILITIES FEES FOR BUILDING PERMIT APPLICANTS

    FEE & PAYMENT INFORMATION
In accordance with Education Code 17620 and Government Code 65995, Conejo Valley Unified School District collects fees on all development and construction projects that exceed 500 square feet within the boundaries of the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Some exclusions are allowed under certain conditions by State legislation. School facility fees are subject to revision as provided by State law.

    The current 2024 fees are:
$3.36 per square foot - Residential
    $0.54 per square foot - Commercial/Senior Citizen

The District accepts checks payable to the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
Credit cards or cash are not currently accepted.

    SENIOR CITIZEN
Dwelling units to be occupied by senior citizens (minimum age of sixty-two (62) years) may be eligible for fees at the reduced rate. For developers of senior citizen housing projects requiring a minimum of fifty-five (55) years of age for residency, the fee may be at the commercial rate providing the development is 150 units or more. Both types of senior citizen residential construction require a recorded, binding legal restriction on the use of the residence and a provision will be required for a payment of the standard residential fee if there is a conversion to other than senior citizen restricted.

    EXEMPTIONS
Projects that do not result in a net increase in assessable space of up to 499 square feet may be exempt from fee requirements.
Detached accessory dwelling units (ADU) of 750 sq. ft. or less are exempt from fees. Should you require a waiver certificate, please follow steps 1 & 2 of the applicant process below stating a waiver is requested.
