First Annual Garden Art Show

Sycamore Canyon School Garden hosted our first ever annual Art Show on a beautiful day in late April, featuring works from students Pre-K through 5th grade.

The showcase presented a combination of individual works, as well as large scale installations of collective group/class projects.

The theme of the art show is sustainability. Students up-cycled scrap materials collected from our community to make their creations.

Our art teacher is Jeanne Bilson.  Our installation artist for the event is parent volunteer Amanda Boulton.

Special thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped make this event possible.

2023 Community Garden Clean-up

We have so many plans in the works for our amazing school Garden … but first we needed help cleaning it up!!

It was a heartening sight to be seen – Sycamore Canyon parent volunteers once again stepped forward and lend our Garden a hand to do some much needed care and maintenance.

On Friday, January 27th, under the expert guidance of our newly hired Garden Academic Specialist Erik Oberg, the parents worked hard and cleared away four dumpsters of prunings from the Garden

We extend our sincere thanks to our parent volunteers: Aaron Campbell, Alia Matthews, Clare Scalzo, Eileen Coffey, Ella Zhang, Felipe Flores, Jeff Cliett, Jennifer Betts, Kirstie Kenton, Kristin Bedi, Kristine & Skip Smith, Melissa Mulhall, Natisse Gaida, Polina Pleshkova, Ryan Burnett, and Saifon Wells.

Thank you for making our Garden beautiful for everyone!!

Watch for more opportunities soon to help our garden bloom.
