Offering a personalized approach to learning, Century Academy utilizes a blended learning model to serve grades 6-12. To ensure the success of all students, Century is comprised of three key components to educate the whole child: Flexible online curriculum, weekly on-ground courses and individual weekly advising sessions. Blended Learning, the backbone of Century's model, is a hybrid teaching methodology which combines traditional classroom methods and independent study. Students will find the majority of their course resources online and accessible through any device with an internet connection.

Century Academy offers Honors and Advanced Placement courses, a small school community, and individualized learning plans. The counseling and administrative team work with each family, starting with their initial consultation which introduces them to the academy. At Century, you will find: options for customizing time on campus to balance student extracurricular and professional demands, individual and small group counseling support, one-on-one college pathway coaching, a balance between social-emotional development and academic rigor.

Students attending Century are eligible to participate in all sports and fine arts programs available throughout the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Additionally, many Century students take advantage of dual-enrollment, which allows them to add courses at a junior college to their high-school schedule.

Los Cerritos Middle School understands, values, and addresses the complex social, emotional, and physical needs of middle school students. Working as partners with their parents, we guarantee them a quality education through a varied, comprehensive, and rigorous curricular and extracurricular program designed to nurture ethical citizens and life-long learners. We continually strive to improve the learning environment and programs for all students.

Our staff is committed to creating an educational environment that we would seek for our own children. In order to support the continued growth of the students at Los Cerritos, we have incorporated two cornerstone programs and adapted them to meet the needs of our students and families. We strive to know our students' strengths and areas for improvement and have formalized reporting mechanisms to help measure, monitor, and intervene to help all students reach their potential. Our Response-to-Intervention (Rti2/MTSSA) initiative delivers targeted interventions and support to students every Wednesday across all subjects. Simultaneously, it provides enrichment and extension opportunities to students who may benefit from additional challenges. Each method enables us to diagnose individual student progress and school-wide progress to address the needs of individual students. The safety and security of our students is paramount. Our leadership team and teachers have incorporated the CHAMPS model to create a positive behavior support and management program based on teachers building and implementing a proactive and positive approach to classroom management, adopting common language among staff to address issues, and a focus on continuous improvement. The Ventura County Office of Education has named Los Cerritos a model program in our county based on our commitment to the CHAMPs program.

Our premier Performing Arts Program (Choir, Orchestra, and Band) is a premier program in the District, the county, and the state. With over 450 students participating in one of these three programs, it has become a force at our school. Awards are not in short supply as all three groups have distinguished themselves with ""superior"" ratings and many County/State awards.

We are also a Professional Development School with California Lutheran University - this partnership focuses on creating a shared, common vision of teaching and learning grounded in research and best professional practices. This program is a collaboration between students, our teacher candidates, school and university faculty, and the community for the benefit of our students. Los Cerritos is a Ventura County Office of Education Model School for CHAMPS/Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS). We work with a cadre of county schools and work together to implement effective classroom management practices that are built on positive interactions, teaching and modeling classroom and school expectations, and designing school schedules/structures that will promote a positive and safe school environment.

Redwood Middle School has been recognized as a 2017 Gold Ribbon School and 2013 California Distinguished School, attesting to our strong academic achievement and successful extracurricular programs. In addition to top marks in language arts, math and social science, our students consistently rank as County and State level Science Fair finalists. We maintain a strong focus on technology and currently have a 1:1 student to device ratio on campus. Redwood students continually engage in a wide array of curriculum through digital literacy, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Our EDGE program unites the rigorous academic disciplines of English, social studies, science, and innovative thinking by encouraging the exchange of ideas through collaboration and problem-based learning. EDGE students apply in both the 7th and 8th grade to be a part of this unique collaborative learning environment where students are cohorted together as a grade level group.

We promote character education throughout the year via monthly themes, quotes, and activities. Kindness and respect are expected and modeled daily, and our campus exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere where every student belongs. Leadership and inclusiveness are fostered at Redwood through multiple Associated Student Body (ASB) classes and the implementation of the "Where Everybody Belongs" (WEB) mentoring program designed to help new students transition successfully to middle school while connecting to the school community in positive ways. Our unique and varied elective class offerings include art, Entrepreneurship, Broadcast Journalism, Introduction to Spanish, Music Appreciation, Epic Wellness, STEM activities, and Introductory French. In the 8th grade year we are also proud to offer Spanish 1 as high school credit elective course. Finally, our students can join a wide variety of clubs based on student interest such as chess, legos, bingo, and the PRIDE club. Redwood offers a multitude of performing arts classes and programs, all of which have earned high honors at local and regional competitions.

We have four distinct levels of Band including a marching and parade program, while our Chorus and Strings Orchestra offer additional opportunities for students to engage in music education. More than 40% of our students participate in these enriching extracurricular opportunities.

Sequoia Middle School is a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme! This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Sequoia Middle School believes is important for our students.

The MYP is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Throughout the International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP candidacy process, this framework will be implemented as a schoolwide model, which will benefit all students that attend Sequoia Middle School.

Sequoia Middle School is the only middle school in the district to implement a unique Block Schedule permitting students to focus on three classes a day rather than the traditional six. Students rotate through designated periods every day. Classes are 91 minutes long. This allows for longer instructional blocks so that students are able to practice skills and begin homework, and it prepares students for their transition to Newbury Park High School's block schedule.

Sequoia Middle School also focuses on the social-emotional needs of students with a school-wide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program called CREW every day after lunch. CREW stands for Compassion, Responsibility, Empowerment and Well-being. On Mondays and Wednesday- Fridays during CREW, all students participate in activities related to developing positive character traits and strengthening school connections. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, students work independently on silent reading, homework, and makeup work completion or receive additional support in academic areas.

Sequoia Middle School is also the home of the Discover Academy. The Discover Academy is a school within a school that uses engineering and applied science as interdisciplinary themes. Discover also promotes hands-on, innovative, and inquiry-based instruction to encourage students' lifelong love of learning in both traditional and small group settings.

Finally, Sequoia offers a host of Exploratory Classes which introduce students to a variety of disciplines. These classes include Art, Principle of Computer Science, ASB (Associated Student Body), Band, Choir, Digital Production, Epic Wellness, Guitar, Spanish, Strings and Yearbook.
