Multilingual Learners

WHO WE ARE

The Multilingual Learners department is responsible for supporting the District’s English Learners (ELs) and their English Language Development (ELD) programs. English Learners comprise approximately 10% of our district's student population with over 35 different languages being spoken. Each school site has an ELD program whose goal is to help English Learners acquire English proficiency.

The Multilingual Learners department reports to Mr. Kenneth Loo, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional and Student Services.
