Homework

First graders receive a homework packet every Monday with assignments for each evening. Homework should take no more than 10 minutes to complete each day. In addition, students should read for at least 15 minutes every night.

Welcome to First Grade

The first grade teachers at Aspen work closely as a team to plan, coordinate, and implement an instructional program that meets the needs of every student. We believe that learning should be a positive experience which empowers children to feel successful. We strive to create a structured learning environment that is challenging as well as nurturing. Teachers guide students to respect everyone and take responsibility for their own choices and actions.
