Aspen Elementary is proud to provide our students with access to state of the art technology. In our two computer labs and in every classroom, students are becoming skilled in accessing computers, chrome books, and iPads as tools to enhance learning, share information, and connect with others world-wide.
Aspen students begin the year with CVUSD digital citizenship lessons, which teach them computer use, internet safety, and the responsibility that comes with accessing the World Wide Web. At Aspen we strive to follow national technology curriculum standards established by ITSE. Goals and objectives are established for each grade level, beginning with basic keyboarding skills and advancing to programs designed for research and presentation. Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade students specifically focus on the skills necessary for success with the SBAC testing, including keyboarding technique, word processing, mouse skills and the use of math symbols and drawing tools.
