You’re Invited: Preview Webinar for Proposed CVUSD Instructional Materials

The CVUSD community is invited to join the District’s Instructional Services team for a scheduled webinar to preview the following proposed instructional materials:

  • Math Medic: The Math Medic for AP Statistics curriculum was built by real teachers, for real classrooms.  Math curriculum covers data analysis, probability, sampling distributions, and statistical inference. Fully digital, no textbook required. Subscription includes ready-to-use lesson plans, activities, and answer keys for every unit, with perfectly aligned assessments through the Math Medic Assessment Platform. It covers everything in the College Board Course and Exam Description.
     
  • Chemins ©2026 is a fully integrated and scaffolded French-language program that builds intercultural communicative proficiency through a cohesive cultural approach within each unit. You can shape Chemins to fit your instructional goals and teaching style—all while delivering an engaging, personalized learning experience to each and every student.
     
  • World of Chemistry, 4th Edition is an easy to read and accessible to all student, World of Chemistry includes National Geographic images and visuals, numerous problem-solving examples, a wide range of end-of-chapter exercises, and real world applications that truly bring the “world of chemistry” together in one unique central learning resource.

These instructional materials will be brought before the CVUSD Board of Education for Information/Discussion at the May 6, 2026 and the May 20, 2026 Board of Education Meetings and for Action at a subsequent Board of Education Meeting.

CVUSD Preschool Cost-free enrollment opportunities available for income-eligible families

Our CVUSD Preschool, with campuses in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park, offers a State Preschool program that provides free enrollment to families who meet income eligibility requirements. There are currently openings available, for eligible children, in the free half-day preschool program for the 2026-2027 school year. Apply to enroll, today!

Chromebook ADP Available

We are proud to provide all students with a Chromebook through the District’s 1:1 Program. To support this program, CVUSD is offering a Chromebook Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) program for families to eliminate the concern and costs of repairing or replacing damaged, or stolen Chromebooks.
