You’re Invited: High School Instructional Materials Preview Webinar
The CVUSD community is invited to join the District’s Instructional Services team for two scheduled Preview Nights (virtual) to review the following proposed high school instructional materials:
- Core Literature Title: James by Percival Everett (Gr 11CP - Extended)
- Oxford Resources for IB Diploma Programme 2024 Edition Environmental Systems and Societies Course Companion (Newbury Park High School) - Sample content here
The Virtual Preview Nights will be held on the following dates with the listed materials to be reviewed:
- January 8, 2026 at 5pm - 1st Virtual Parent Preview: Both Instructional Materials - Click to Register to Attend
- January 22, 2026 at 5pm - 2nd Virtual Parent Preview: *Core Literature Title Only - Click to Register to Attend
These instructional materials will be brought before the CVUSD Board of Education for Information/Discussion at the December 17, 2025 and the January 14, 2026 Board of Education Meetings and for Action at the February 2, 2026 Board of Education Meeting.

Enrollment for new CVUSD students for the 2026–2027 school year is officially open! Start your child on their path of educational excellence: complete the Neighborhood School Enrollment process available as of November 3, 2025 - the same date the School Choice Application and Interdistrict Transfer Form opens.

The free, family-friendly Bike Rodeo & E-Bike Safety Event will take place on Saturday, January 24th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redwood Middle School and is designed to help kids and families learn about essential bike and e-bike safety through hands-on activities and educational resources.
