You're Invited: Black History Month Celebration

The Conejo Valley Unified School District, in proud partnership with the African American District Advisory Council (AADAC), cordially invites all CVUSD families to our Black History Month Celebration. This evening is dedicated to honoring the profound and enduring contributions African Americans have had and continue to make on our culture, history and community. 

In collaboration with CVUSD staff and community partners from across the Conejo, we have curated a series of interactive stations designed for education, connection, and joy. Guests will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere featuring food, dance instruction, and meaningful opportunities to engage with neighbors and friends. Details for this free event are as follows:

Two Westlake High Scholars Selected for Competitive Amgen Biotechnology Internship

Congratulations to Westlake High School 10th grade students Smrithi and Amelia for being selected for the highly competitive BOLT! (Biotechnology Opportunities for Leadership and Talent) Internship program through the AMGEN Biotech Experience. CVUSD Celebrates National Black History Month

This February CVUSD celebrates National Black History Month, a time to honor and commemorate the roles African Americans have played in our country's history. The first Black History Week was celebrated in 1926. To mark the 100-year legacy of honoring Black history, culture, and achievements the theme for the 2026 celebration is, “A Century of Black History Commemorations.”
