Thousand Oaks Rotary Honors 22 CVUSD Students for Excellence in Citizenship

Congratulations to the 22 CVUSD elementary and middle school students who were recently honored by the Thousand Oaks Rotary for their demonstration of integrity, goodwill and service to others.

Each CVUSD elementary and middle school nominated an exceptional student for the 40th Annual Youth Citizenship Awards. Each school shared why their student was selected for this distinction. The students were described as “leaders,” “kind,” “helpful,” “incredible human beings,” “compassionate,” “considerate,” “caring,” and “respectful.”

At a special event with local dignitaries, and their families on hand, each student received a plaque to commemorate their recognition during the Youth Citizenship Awards Program. The Thousand Oaks Rotary defines Citizenship as, “the quality of an individual’s response to membership in a community.”
