Join Us in Welcoming Maryam Azizi, CVUSD’s New Risk Manager!

The Conejo Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce that Maryam Azizi has been selected as the District’s new Risk Manager. Ms. Azizi officially joined the CVUSD leadership team on July 1st. 

Ms. Azizi is a California attorney who brings a breadth of experience to her new role with the District. She most recently acted as in-house counsel for the California Department of Transportation, representing the state in tort, employment, eminent domain, and construction litigation. She has also held roles in public service, and sales and use tax compliance.

Through her new position, Ms. Azizi will lead the District’s Risk Management’s mission to provide risk prevention and mitigation services. Risk Management is responsible for the administration of the District's self-insured and purchased insurance programs along with occupational health and safety and other core responsibilities.

Ms. Azizi received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at San Diego and her law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
