It's National School Counseling Week: February 2nd-6th

School Counselors have a vital role in the academic, social, emotional, and career development of students. During National School Counseling Week, February 2nd-6th, CVUSD celebrates the role of school counselors in removing barriers to student learning and providing all students the opportunity to succeed.

With the development of comprehensive counseling programs, counselors work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to provide the best environment for student growth, well-being, and academic achievement. School counselors assist students in discovering their strengths and talents to help them set goals for their future plans.

The CVUSD invites the whole Conejo community to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication our counselors do for our students, schools, and community. Their work indeed “amplifies student success” each and every day, which is the 2026 National School Counseling Week theme.

This message will be shared districtwide to honor the commitment and impact of our School Counselors. We sincerely thank them for the essential role they play in guiding students toward their highest potential.

Resolution #25/26-19 In Support of National School Counseling Week was approved at the January 14, 2026 Board of Education meeting. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.

Please join us in showing appreciation for our School Counselors’ invaluable contributions all year through and especially this National School Counseling Week!
