CVUSD Recognizes October as LGBTQ+ History Month

CVUSD Recognizes October as LGBTQ+ History Month

LGBTQ+ History Month is observed every year in the United States during October to raise awareness of the history of LGBTQ+ people and related civil rights movements.

The theme for LGBTQ+ History Month 2025 is “Activism and Social Change,” which celebrates the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals who have been activists and played a role in shaping social change and highlights how collective action drives progress and transforms lives within LGBTQ+ communities.

At the Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education meeting, Resolution #25/26-08 in Support of LGBTQ+ History Month was approved.
