CVUSD Recognizes International Holocaust Remembrance Day: January 27, 2026

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is a day to remember the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust. We encourage all members of our community to take a moment to reflect on the importance of tolerance, empathy, and compassion, and to remember the victims of the Holocaust.

At the December 17, 2025 Board of Education Meeting, Resolution #25/26-17 in Support of International Holocaust Remembrance Day was approved. The International Holocaust Remembrance Day resolution provides an opportunity for students, staff, and community members to remember and memorialize those who were killed during the Holocaust, and also remind them of their responsibility to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.

The theme for this year’s remembrance, “Bridging Generations,” emphasizes the shared responsibility across generations to remember the Holocaust and other genocides, and to learn from the past to build a better future.
