CVUSD Recognizes April as National Arab American Heritage Month
In 2021, the President of the United States officially recognized April as National Arab American Heritage Month. Arab American Heritage Month is a time to formally recognize the contributions and accomplishments of Arab Americans and to honor their community's rich history and heritage.
This year's theme, "Many Voices, One Community, " highlights the diverse identities, backgrounds, and experiences of Arab Americans while affirming the shared values, resilience, and unity that bind the community together.
At the Wednesday, March 18, 2026 Board of Education Meeting, Annual Resolution #25/26-31 In Support of Arab American Heritage Month was approved.

Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) alerts have been issued from Southern California Edison (SCE) for our community, with the potential to impact power at our school campuses. All CVUSD school campuses will continue to be open for the day of regularly scheduled instruction when a school does not have power due to a PSPS initiated by SCE.

The CVUSD Parent Outreach Program invites all Spanish-speaking parents to participate in cost-free English classes on Wednesday evenings. Academic support for students in elementary school is offered/available while parents learn English. Register to attend now.
