CVUSD Honors National School Nurse Day on May 6th
Join us in celebrating National School Nurse Day on Wednesday, May 6th! We are so grateful for our School Nurses and thank them for the hard work and dedication they provide to our students, schools and the community. They support students' health and help make sure that students are healthy, safe and ready to learn.
The California Department of Education and National Association of School Nurses encourage districts to celebrate School Nurses for supporting students and student health every day and to recognize the contributions that school nurses are making to the health and learning of our nation’s children.
At the Wednesday, April 15, 2026 Board of Education Meeting, Resolution #25/26-33 In Support of National School Nurse Day was approved.
Thank you, School Nurses, for the vital role you play each day in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to succeed.

The 2026-2027 Free / Reduced Meal Application affects a variety of areas unrelated to school meals, including school funding, college application fees, SAT fees, bus passes and more. Even if your child does not plan to eat school lunches, it is important to fill out this online form to help ensure our schools and families receive the available resources.

We look forward to welcoming students back for the 2026-2027 school year on Wednesday, August 19th! As with each new school year, required Annual Updates must be completed via the online Q Parent Connection by parents/guardians prior to the first day of instruction.

We are proud to provide all students with a Chromebook through the District’s 1:1 Program. To support this program, CVUSD is offering a Chromebook Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) program for families to eliminate the concern and costs of repairing or replacing damaged, or stolen Chromebooks.

The Personnel Commission is an independent three-member body that oversees the District’s Merit System for classified employees.
