CVUSD Celebrate May as National Mental Health Awareness Month
The Conejo Valley Unified School District recognizes May as National Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of those living with mental or behavioral health issues and provide the resources to assist them in getting the help they need.
Mental Health is essential to the overall health and well-being of students, educators, staff, and the broader school community. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the CVUSD seeks to educate the public, promote mental health and advocate for policies that support mental wellness for all.
At the Wednesday, April 15, 2026 Board of Education Meeting, Annual Resolution #25/26-37 in Support of National Mental Health Awareness Month was approved.
CVUSD is committed to supporting initiatives that promote mental health awareness, access to care, and the reduction of the stigma associated with mental illness. This Mental Health Awareness Month, CVUSD encourages students, staff, families and community members to participate in activities, educational programs and conversations that promote mental health awareness and well-being.

Our CVUSD Preschool, with campuses in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park, offers a State Preschool program that provides free enrollment to families who meet income eligibility requirements. There are currently openings available, for eligible children, in the free half-day preschool program for the 2026-2027 school year. Apply to enroll, today!

The 2026-2027 Free / Reduced Meal Application affects a variety of areas unrelated to school meals, including school funding, college application fees, SAT fees, bus passes and more. Even if your child does not plan to eat school lunches, it is important to fill out this online form to help ensure our schools and families receive the available resources.

We look forward to welcoming students back for the 2026-2027 school year on Wednesday, August 19th! As with each new school year, required Annual Updates must be completed via the online Q Parent Connection by parents/guardians prior to the first day of instruction.

We are proud to provide all students with a Chromebook through the District’s 1:1 Program. To support this program, CVUSD is offering a Chromebook Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) program for families to eliminate the concern and costs of repairing or replacing damaged, or stolen Chromebooks.
