Congratulations to CVUSD’s October 2025 Teacher of the Month: Rose Crystal of Acacia Magnet School!

Congratulations to CVUSD’s October 2025 Teacher of the Month: Rose Crystal of Acacia Magnet School!

Rose Crystal is a first grade teacher at Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Learning, where, for the last decade, she has been ensuring that each child receives the instruction and encouragement they need to thrive. She provides a classroom environment where students feel safe, challenged, and truly seen. The Conejo Valley Unified School District and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor Ms. Crystal as the October 2025 Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Crystal is deeply invested in engagement for all of her school’s shareholders. She builds a strong rapport with families who deeply appreciate the sincere care given for their children’s learning and well-being. She is also a team player and a recognized teacher leader who is known for her collaborative spirit and willingness to share her expertise with co-workers.

She goes above and beyond to ensure the entire school community feels supported. This includes securing PTA funding so that staff could engage in online professional development, deepening their collective understanding of evidence-based reading practices. She also organizes parent workshops to help families support early literacy at home.

Ms. Crystal also plays a key role in fostering family engagement within Acacia’s school community by helping to organize the Annual School Enrichment Model Night, an event where families are invited to participate in a variety of interactive learning activities alongside teachers.

She is deeply respected by the entire Acacia team as a problem-solver, a team player, and someone who shows up – whether that’s stepping in to support a colleague, lending a hand at school events, or going the extra mile.

At the Tuesday, October 7th Acacia Magnet School staff meeting, Ms. Crystal was surprised with the October 2025 Teacher of the Month recognition. She was presented with a commemorative plaque from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce to honor her special recognition, along with a $300 teacher grant from the Conejo Schools Foundation, and received congratulatory wishes from CVUSD’s leadership team and members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee.

Congratulations Ms. Crystal on this well-earned award, which celebrates the uplifting effect you have on the Acacia Magnet campus and school community each day!
