Congratulations Olivia Johnson of TOHS: A Regeneron ISEF 2026 Special Award Winner!

Congratulations to Olivia Johnson, 12th grade Lancer, on winning a Special Award in the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which was held in Phoenix, Arizona this week. Olivia was one of more than 1,700 young scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and inventors representing more than 67 countries, regions and territories who participated in the annual event, now in its 76th year.

Olivia earned a First Prize $5,000 Special Award from the Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) for her project, titled: Investigating the Synergistic Effect of Ivermectin and C-Phycocyanin on Cell Viability and Clonogenic Capacity in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer.

The Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) is a not-for-profit, corporate member-supported, and volunteer-led global business development association for companies engaged in the Bio/Pharmaceutical business ecosystem. The Association’s mission is to provide a diverse array of educational opportunities and industry experiences to enhance learning and create opportunities for members to expand their networks and deepen their relationships throughout the global Bio/Pharmaceutical business ecosystem.

Olivia’s appearance in the competition marks the fourth consecutive year, a The Center for Advanced Studies and Research at Thousand Oaks High School student has earned the honor of being the one Ventura County Science Fair participant selected to compete in the ISEF.

Regeneron ISEF brings together the world’s most promising young scientists and engineers to showcase research with real-world impact. Through this competition, Regeneron and the Society are fostering the next generation of STEM leaders who are helping to solve real-world challenges to improve our world.

Free Summer Meals

Summer Work Permit and Transcript Requests

During the summer months, work permits will be processed at the District office located on Janss Road. Additionally, transcript requests can be submitted online and will be overseen by District office staff. Complete details available here.
