An End of School Year Message from the Superintendent

An End of School Year Message from the Superintendent

Dear CVUSD Community:

As the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close, we proudly celebrate another remarkable year of learning, growth, and achievement in the Conejo!

Each and every school day we have been inspired by the many ways our students have excelled academically and grown as individuals. These accomplishments have occurred in both small and big moments: in the classroom, on the playground, in the quad, and everywhere in between. Our students earned awards in countywide, statewide and national academic, athletic and performing arts competitions - a true testament to the breadth of talents nurtured within our school communities. These achievements reflect not only our students’ hard work and dedication, but also the strong support system that surrounds them.

The foundation of this support system is you - our extraordinary teachers, staff, administrators, volunteers, and families. Your dedication, encouragement, and partnership help create the opportunities that allow our students to thrive and reach their full potential.

This includes our outstanding Class of 2026, whose achievements and aspirations reflect the very best of our schools and community. Members of the Class of 2026 are taking the skills and knowledge they developed in CVUSD to prestigious colleges and universities nationwide and abroad, as well as to careers, trade schools, and local learning institutions. We are immensely proud of all our graduates and excited to see the many ways they will learn, lead, and succeed in the years ahead.

To every member of our Conejo community, thank you for the role you play in making our schools such vibrant and supportive places to learn and grow. Together, we have accomplished so much this year, and we have much to be proud of.

As summer begins, I hope you find time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Thank you for another exceptional year, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back for an exciting and successful 2026–2027 school year.

Sincerely,
Dr. Mark McLaughlin
Proud Superintendent
Conejo Valley Unified School District
