Olivia Johnson on stage of Regeneron ISEF competition

Olivia Johnson, 12th grade Lancer, won a Special Award in the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which was held in Phoenix, Arizona this week. Olivia was one of more than 1,700 young scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and inventors representing more than 67 countries, regions and territories who participated in the annual event, now in its 76th year.

Congratulations 25-26 Retirees and Employee Service Award Recipients

At the center of our CVUSD community are our dedicated employees who make invaluable contributions to our community of learners. We also celebrate employees who have reached significant milestones of service this school year: 15 years, 20 years, 25 years, 30 years and 35 years.

The Resilience Advantage: Raising Strong, Gritty and Confident Children

Kelsey Bartlett and Tish Pletcher hold Math Awards

The CVUSD is proud to share that Kelsey Bartlett, Math TOSA, and Tish Pletcher, 2nd grade teacher at EARThS Magnet School, have been named 2026 Outstanding Mathematics Educators Awardees by the Ventura County Math Council. They were selected as two of only five countywide honorees for their dedication to quality mathematics education.

Congratulations to Jayden H. for earning first place and Nandhitha B. for earning third place in the SEEAG Fields of Innovation in Agriculture Research Competition. Jayden is a 10th grade student at The Center for Advanced Studies and Research at Thousand Oaks High School, and Nandhitha is an 11th grade student at Westlake High School.
