Character Development

  • Throughout the school year, Westlake Hills is committed to character development and social emotional well-being of each student. Classroom lessons, small group activities and even whole school assemblies are some of the formats used to support growth within these domains. Character development is a collective responsibility that requires teachers, staff, and parents. The very foundational belief for our school community is a place where we can all belong.  During the 22-23 school year, Unity In Our Community was the theme for Inclusive Schools week. With the help of staff and parent volunteers, we were able to create a permanent fixture of our belief and commitment using student and staff hands as the “leaves” of the Unity Tree.
