CVUSD Hosts Principal for a Half Day Program

There were more than 25 “Principals in training” across CVUSD school sites today, Thursday, April 22nd as part of the annual Principal for a Half Day Program with community partner the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. This annual event gives Chamber of Commerce members and members of the local community the opportunity to shadow the principal of a local elementary, middle or high school to experience firsthand the profession of a principal at a Conejo Valley Unified school.  Participants in this cost free event had the opportunity to visit campuses, meet one on one with principals and tour their assigned school site.

Rising 6th Grader & Rising 9th Grader Information Nights for English Learner & Spanish Speaking Families

CVUSD English learners and Spanish speaking fifth grade families are invited to the "Informational Night for Incoming 6th Graders" virtual event on Thursday, May 6th. This event will review parental strategies and helpful information for a successful transition to middle school. CVUSD English learners and Spanish speaking eighth grade families are invited to the "Informational Night for Incoming 9th Graders" virtual event on Thursday, April 29th. This event will review parental strategies and helpful information for a successful transition to high school.

Promote Diversity & Inclusion - Attend the VCOE Equity Conference

Help promote equity, diversity and inclusion in our schools by attending the Ventura County Office of Education Equity Conference on Monday, May 24. This free virtual event is for students, parents, school employees and members of the community who want to ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve their dreams. There will be a wide variety of workshops to choose from, plus networking and door prizes.

Please join the CVUSD BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and the Conejo Schools Foundation for "Communicating with your LGBTQ Child" presented by John Sovec on Tuesday, April 27 from 6:00-7:00 PM. This interactive workshop for CVUSD Parents/Guardians will discuss tools to communicate better with their children, build awareness of the unique needs of their LGBTQ child and explore how the coming out process is a journey for the entire family.
