Conejo Valley Unified School District is proud to support its students’ diverse academic needs and ambitions. As such, the district is providing a listing of the many different opportunities for students to continue their education during the summer months. Students may choose to enroll in a summer school program for acceleration and/or credit recovery purposes. Students can apply up to 20 credits from external summer school programs for this summer 2021 only.
Creativity, teamwork and problem solving to foster original and divergent thinking is at the center of the Odyssey of the Mind program. Teams of students from schools across the Conejo participated in the SoCal Odyssey of the Mind program this year with “The Odd Squad” team from Colina Middle School named State Champions for coming in first in their respective problem on Monday, April 19th. A second Colina team named “Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies” came in second place overall in their problem/division. Both of the Colina teams will move on to participate in the Odyssey of the Mind World Championships - an incredible accomplishment!
Recordings of the presentations from the first annual, "Focus on Your Future!" Career Education Pathways for ALL students event held last month are now available. Presentations are from a variety of experts and cover important topics related to: Post-Secondary planning, College 2 Career Programs, how industry certifications and associates degrees lead to employment, financial ad, and much more.
CVUSD parents and guardians are invited to the Comprehensive Sexual Health Education in Conejo Valley Unified School District webinar presentation hosted by Jeffrey Gould and Mary Patterson of Cardea Services. There were more than 25 “Principals in training” across CVUSD school sites today, Thursday, April 22nd as part of the annual Principal for a Half Day Program with community partner the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. This annual event gives Chamber of Commerce members and members of the local community the opportunity to shadow the principal of a local elementary, middle or high school to experience firsthand the profession of a principal at a Conejo Valley Unified school. Participants in this cost free event had the opportunity to visit campuses, meet one on one with principals and tour their assigned school site.
