The guest speaker is Dr. César Morales, Ventura County Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Morales was appointed as Ventura County Superintendent of Schools by the Ventura County Board of Education in 2021, becoming the first Latino and first person of color to hold the office since it was created in 1873.

California Education Code Section 37222 designates May 3-7, 2021, as "National Teacher Appreciation Week" as a means of expressing appreciation to the state's teachers, instructors, professors, and other educators. Our phenomenal teachers are the foundation of our incredible schools and we are so grateful for them every day - and are especially proud to highlight them this week!
