Receiving free meals just got even easier for students at CVUSD’s middle schools and comprehensive high school sites with the addition of new meal kiosk carts. The District’s Child Nutrition team recently received a USDA Breakfast Expansion Grant through the California Department of Education to fund the kiosks which now provide another point of service, reduce line congestion and most importantly help distribute FREE meals to our students.
High School students and their families are invited to a "Focus on Your Future!" Career Education Pathways for ALL students event on Thursday, March 18th at 5:30pm. This online event will feature information on a variety of topics including - Post-Secondary planning, College 2 Career Programs, how industry certifications and associate degrees lead to employment, a session on financial aid and much more.
Conejo Valley Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the Student District Advisory Committee (SDAC) for the 2021-2022 school year. The Student District Advisory Council (SDAC) is comprised of students from each CVUSD high school site. SDAC members meet every month with CVUSD Assistant Superintendents and Directors to discuss policies, events and important topics concerning the district. An online application is now available for students to complete.
Join CVUSD's BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and The Conejo Schools Foundation on Tuesday, February 23 at 5:30 PM for the webinar workshop: Developmental Impacts on Technology. Dr. Holly Altiero, the workshop presenter, will give an overview of screen time usage amongst children and teens, how technology affects brain development, and provide specific examples of how families can help their children find a healthy balance.
Twelve high schools participated in the 2021 Ventura County Academic Decathlon, which for the first time ever was held virtually. Hosted by Ventura County Office of Education, online platforms were used for the teams of students to compete in ten academic events that cover subjects ranging from arts to economics. Westlake High School - Team A was announced as the champion on Monday, February 8th and they will move on to compete in the state Academic Decathlon. Way to go Warriors!
