CVUSD Celebrates Unity Day

Unity Day has been celebrated in the United States and around the world since 2011.  It is the most well-known event of National Bullying Prevention Month. To participate in Unity Day, individuals, schools, communities, and businesses wear or display orange to show support for students who have been bullied, in addition to sending the message that no child should ever experience bullying.

CVUSD Expands Focus on the Arts Program Thanks to ToArts AccessArts Grant and the Conejo Schools Foundation

At the Tuesday, October 6th Board of Education Meeting, CVUSD accepted an AccessArts grant from TOArts, with additional funding from the Conejo Schools Foundation (CSF), to support and expand the district’s highly-successful, longstanding Focus on the Arts (FOTA) program in elementary schools for the 2020-21 academic year.

CVUSD Recognizes October as National Bullying Prevention Month

During the month of October, communities across the nation campaign to raise awareness and educate people on the long term effects that bullying has on children.  The goal of recognizing National Bullying Prevention Month in the Conejo Valley Unified School District is to encourage parents, students, and staff to unite against bullying and share the message that no one deserves to be bullied.

Small Groups and Cohorts Update

Per California Department of Public Health (CDPH), CVUSD can provide small groups and cohorts of students on campus for limited instruction, targeted support and interventions.  The CDPH guidance specifically identified students with disabilities, English Learners and other students who might be at risk of further learning loss such as those experiencing homelessness or abuse or neglect.
