The Conejo Valley Unified School District establishes May 12, 2021 as "National School Nurse Day," as a way to publicly recognize School Nurses for their hard work and dedication to the students, schools and community, and for their accomplishments in supporting health and ensuring that students are healthy, safe and ready to learn.
Between preparing healthy food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Conejo Valley Unified School District nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate. The Conejo Valley Unified School District would like to receive input from stakeholders regarding how the District should use its Extended Learning Opportunity Grant (ELOG) stimulus funding for the 2021-2022 school year. The feedback the District receives from stakeholders will be an invaluable resource to the District as we move forward with the planning process for how ELOG funds will be used to make the most impact for our CVUSD students.
At the Tuesday, May 4th Board of Education Meeting, Shane Craven was announced as the new principal of Aspen Elementary School. Mr. Craven is a leader in implementing meaningful and inclusive school programs through his more than 11 years of experience in education. Mr. Craven will officially begin his new role as Principal of Aspen Elementary School on July 1, 2021.
