Century Academy, a California Distinguished School, has expanded to offer 6th and 7th graders the same flexibility of an online-blended education that was previously only available to 8th – 12th graders in the Conejo Valley Unified School District.  The school actively partners with students, parents, and staff to provide a dynamic, independent learning environment, meant to accommodate the different needs of all students and address a variety of schedules and learning styles.

Academic achievement, personal and social responsibility are key pillars of the school’s philosophy. Through a blend of learning modalities, including digital learning, direct small group and individual instruction, Century Academy provides rigorous curriculum that meets the needs of all levels of students in search of a successful alternative to the schedule of a traditional middle school or high school.

Century Academy has been the choice of many professional athletes, actors, and other students who are seeking an alternative to the traditional public school schedule. Century Academy’s curriculum directs and nurtures individualized student growth and achievement, while fostering both collaboration and independence.  Students are engaged, empowered, and afforded the opportunity to go beyond their current limitations to achieve high standards of academic achievement and success.

In contrast to many schools available in an online-only format, Century Academy students are on campus several times a week for master-teacher appointments, computer lab exams, on campus electives and hybrid courses. This blended format is illustrated by the many "Hybrid Courses" that are available, which are taught in a traditional classroom environment, with teachers working alongside the digital curriculum to offer instructional support.

Beyond academics, attending Century Academy requires building some of the same skills that are essential to a thriving career and successful life, such as time-management, communication and teamwork.  The school’s caring and knowledgeable staff works tirelessly to help each student develop and master these skills.

Century Academy is a WASC approved institution, and received full NCAA certification for all its coursework in 2015.  For more information about the school and enrollment, please visit http://www.conejousd.org/centuryacademy/ or call the school’s main office to schedule an informational meeting (805) 496-0286 ext.100.
