James Marshall to Serve as Principal of Westlake Hills Elementary

18 Year Veteran of CVUSD is Excited to Lead Wildcats this Year

This summer, the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) Board of Education announced that James Marshall was selected as the new principal of Westlake Hills Elementary, starting with the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. Mr. Marshall has dedicated the past 18 years of his career to Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD), where he began as a teacher at Lang Ranch Elementary in 1999.

Mr. Marshall holds a master’s degree in Education from California State University, Northridge, and has served in various administrative capacities for CVUSD at Westlake High School and Sequoia Middle School. Most recently, he spent 3 years as the Principal at Weathersfield Elementary.

"Jim’s commitment to the students and teachers of CVUSD is illustrated by his many years of teaching and leading in a variety of student-focused administrative roles.  He has worked at all levels, from elementary through high school, and is going to be a great fit at Westlake Hills Elementary," said Interim Superintendent, Dr. Mark McLaughlin.

Laurie Davis will be taking over as the principal at Weathersfield Elementary School, as also announced this summer.
