Stock Market Game Success

Lang Ranch Elementary students receive top awards

Conejo Valley Unified School District has the inside scoop on some local stock market experts…. the District's very own Lang Ranch Elementary students! Teams of students from Andrea Ackerman's 5th grade class placed first and second in the Elementary School division of the statewide Fall Stock Market Game.

The Stock Market Game (SMG) is an academic program provided free of charge for all California students in grades 4-12. SMG is an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students in the world of economics, investing and personal finance.

The SMG curriculum and program materials are correlated with Common Core Mathematics and Language Arts standards to help students develop life skills through real-world problem solving.

Andrea and her students will be honored at a special Stock Market Game Awards ceremony this spring. Congratulations to the Lang Ranch Stock Market Game award winners!
