Garden Makeover - Glenwood Gator Style

Community partner gives Glenwood Elementary a new school garden

Over the November 11th weekend a group of volunteers from Journey Church along with a couple of Glenwood Elementary families demonstrated the true meaning of giving as we enter into this Thanksgiving holiday season.

Journey Church organized a work force of volunteers to provide food, drinks, labor, tools, materials, dedication and a whimsical spirit to make over the Glenwood Elementary School "Gator Garden" in the kindergarten playground.

The garden was in dire need of a remake and the results are amazing.  Not only are there two raised garden beds, but thanks to the PTA, they also installed a seating area for an outdoor classroom/reading and relaxation area.  This alone would have been an outstanding gift, but as a bonus they also cleaned out and rehabbed the butterfly garden.

The volunteers embodied the true spirit of the upcoming holiday, giving season. Glenwood is extremely grateful to have this group of volunteers invest their time and hearts into creating something  so special for the school's students.
