This February CVUSD Celebrates Black History Month

National Black History Month is a time to celebrate and commemorate the roles African Americans have made in the history of our country; and to also acknowledge the profound contributions African Americans have made economically, culturally, and socially to the development of United States history. 


Conejo Valley Unified School District is committed to honoring and valuing the legacy, experiences, and contributions of African Americans, not just during February but all year through.

The 2022 theme for National Black History Month, as recognized by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, focuses on the importance of Black Health and Wellness. 

At the Tuesday, January 11, 2022 Board of Education Meeting - Resolution #21/22-27 in Support of National Black History Month was adopted by the Board of Education to declare February 2022 as National Black History Month in the CVUSD. Read the Resolution here and below:
