Kenneth Loo Named CVUSD’s Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services

On Tuesday, August 3rd the Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education announced that Kenneth Loo has been selected as the District’s Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services.

Mr. Loo most recently served as the District’s Director of Middle Schools - Professional Learning. In this role, Mr. Loo planned, organized, monitored and directed the development and implementation of CVUSD’s middle schools, provided leadership for the instructional program, coordinated and supervised the curriculum adoption process, and developed new educational programs that met mandated educational reforms for middle schools, amongst a multitude of other key responsibilities. 

“Mr. Loo is a talented educator and an exceptional leader,” said Dr. Mark McLaughlin, Superintendent of Conejo Valley Unified School District. “In his new role, Mr. Loo will continue to be an invaluable asset to the success of our schools and students.”

Mr. Loo has served in a variety of diverse roles throughout his career in public education, including: Principal of the Gateway Community School, Providence Court School of Ventura County Office of Education, where he led programs that served expelled and incarcerated students in grades 6-12 in Ventura county, Assistant Principal, and Principal of Pacific High School in Ventura Unified School District, and as a Secondary School Teacher, Behavior Intervention Teacher, and Lead Teacher & Administrative Designee at the Gateway School, amongst other professional experience. He has received recognition for his work and accomplishments, such as recently being named a 2018 Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 Recipient, and a Leadership Matters, ACSA Region XIII South Ventura Charter awardee.

Mr. Loo earned a Master of Arts, Educational Administration degree from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science degree from University of California, Irvine. He is also a graduate of the Personnel Academy, Association of California School Administrators, and has Tier I & Tier II Administrative Services Credentials and a Clear Multiple Subject Credential & Clear Single Subject Credential.
