Glenwood Elementary Super Hero Summer Camp Gears Up Students for New School Year

It is with great pride that Glenwood Elementary announces the completion of the Glenwood Super Hero Summer Camp.

Approximately forty Glenwood students volunteered to come back to school a week early to get a jump start on the new school year.  The first through third graders along with upper grade counselors attended four Super Hero classes daily lead by Super Hero Teachers.  Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Gibson, Ms. Maloney, Mrs. Rogers, and Mrs. Kremser lead students through camp classes that focused on math, language arts, cooperative games, and fine arts.  Students provided the art for the MPR for Back to School Night.

The five day camp finished with an honoring ceremony where each student received their own Super Hero cape and a new backpack.  Each morning parents remained with their students prior to the camp day starting as they learned the character choice word of the day that students would practice in their classes.

These Super Hero students are ready to support all the Glenwood students as they learn in the 2016-2017 school year!
