COVID-19 Vaccinations: Now Available Districtwide to CVUSD Employees
It is with much gratitude and excitement that we share that all Conejo Valley Unified School District employees will have the opportunity to receive their first COVID-19 vaccination by the end of March 2021. As of Wednesday, February 24th, employees in the education sector are eligible to be vaccinated. The CVUSD is fortunate to be working in partnership with Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) to provide all CVUSD employees with the opportunity to receive the first COVID-19 vaccination dose via specially reserved appointments at the VCOE vaccination site.
All CVUSD employees received an email communication with links to reserve an appointment for the first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination at the VCOE vaccination site in Camarillo. Additionally, school employees are eligible to make vaccination appointments on the County's website at vaccination locations available throughout the County at: www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information (New appointments are added to this website every Monday and during the week when there are cancellations). Therefore, there are two ways school employees may sign up to be vaccinated, through the County website OR through the vaccination appointment links at VCOE that were communicated by the District's Human Resources Department. Additionally, on Saturday March 13th a special COVID-19 vaccination clinic for CVUSD employees, developed in partnership with local health provider Los Robles Hospital, will be held. Information regarding this special event was emailed to all CVUSD employees on Tuesday, March 9th - and included a direct link for employees to reserve their appointment time. Employees should bring to their vaccination appointment a recent pay stub or District issued identification badge that verifies their employment at CVUSD and a photo identification card (such as a drivers license or passport).
We are extremely thankful for our partnership with Ventura County Public Health, Ventura County Office of Education, local government officials and local health providers for the accelerated prioritization of vaccination distribution to our District’s employees and all school district employees in Ventura County. Conejo Valley Unified School District is the largest school district in Ventura County with more than 2,940 employees.
COVID-19 vaccines are a critically important tool to help stop the global pandemic. The administration of the vaccine to our District employees will provide a new, vital measure of safety to our CVUSD campuses and the greater Conejo community. All current health and safety protocols on our District’s campuses are available to review in our CVUSD 2020-2021 COVID-19 Safety Plan.
