CVUSD Selects New Director of Child Nutrition Services

Conejo Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce it has selected  Virginia Beck as its new Director of Child Nutrition Services.  She will join the CVUSD Leadership Team effective September 6, 2016. 

Virginia has tremendous experience in administering child nutrition programs, having worked for six years as the Assistant Director in Food Services for the fifth largest district in the nation, Clark County School District (CCSD) with over 300,000 students. She was responsible for the oversight of nearly 2,000 employees, along with a central kitchen operation that produced approximately 225,000 meals per day

Prior to her tenure with CCSD, Virginia worked for the State of Nevada Department of Education as a Nutrition Consultant, where she served as a technical expert for 17 Nevada school districts relative to the administration of the National School Lunch Program, conducting program audits with respect to nutritional standards, meal counting and claiming eligibility, as well as general food safety, financial, procurement and civil rights obligations.

Virginia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science, a Master’s degree in Behavioral Psychology, and is a Registered Dietitian. CVUSD is excited to have the benefit of Virginia’s expertise to further develop the District’s child nutrition program.
