On Thursday, May 27, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Little Steven Van Zandt visited, via Zoom, Mr. Bradley’s Comparative Religions class at Newbury Park High School, as one of eleven classes throughout the United States, on the TeachRock tour, during the class’s unit of study Religion and the Beatles? This unit of study examines the religious background and views of the groundbreaking musical group The Beatles.
Preparing for the next school year has begun, and we need your feedback! As previously communicated, the District is planning the 2021-2022 school year with a return to full-day, five days per week, on-campus learning schedules for students across all grades. We recognize that choices related to a student's preferred learning model and location remain important to our students and families. Therefore, we request for all CVUSD families to please complete the Student Learning Model Preference for the 2021-2022 School Year survey (Available by clicking "Read More" below).
The Conejo Valley Unified School District celebrated and gave thanks to its 2020-2021 retirees at a special virtual ceremony on Wednesday, May 26th. We congratulate each and every retiree and thank them for their years of dedicated service to our students, schools and community!
Congratulations to the 23 CVUSD students who received a Youth Citizenship Award from the Thousand Oaks Rotary. These annual recognitions are bestowed to a 5th grade student from each CVUSD elementary school and an 8th grade student from each CVUSD middle school. Students are chosen for the award for successfully demonstrating good citizenship by helping others, for making a contribution to the school and community, and for being a role model to others. Students are also selected for exhibiting outstanding leadership skills.
