CVUSD celebrates May 16-22, 2021 as "Classified School Employee Week." CVUSD's dedicated classified employees play an invaluable role in supporting our students, schools and community. We are so grateful for their hard work every day, and we are especially proud to highlight them this week!
Congratulations to Wonjin Ko, a 12th grade student at Newbury Park High School who was announced today as a National Merit $2500 Scholarship winner by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®). Wonjin is one of 2,500 Merit Scholar designees chosen from a talent pool of some 16,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
CVUSD, Safe Passage Thousand Oaks, Adelante Comunidad Conejo and Ventura County Public Health are proudly teaming up to provide a FREE COVID-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinic to individuals 18 years of age and older who work or live in Ventura County. The Clinic will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 12pm to 5pm at the University Early Childhood Center (2801 Atlas Ave., Thousand Oaks). Making an appointment is recommended but not necessary.
The Conejo Valley Unified School District establishes May 12, 2021 as "National School Nurse Day," as a way to publicly recognize School Nurses for their hard work and dedication to the students, schools and community, and for their accomplishments in supporting health and ensuring that students are healthy, safe and ready to learn.
Between preparing healthy food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Conejo Valley Unified School District nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate. To celebrate their hard work and commitment, our schools will celebrate School Lunch Hero Day on May 7.
