Principal's Message

Located in the beautiful Conejo Valley, Westlake Elementary School is the wonderful home of 518 students.  Westlake Elementary School, a California Distinguished School, is proud of our students and the high academic achievements that have been attained by our students.  The highly involved families and outstanding staff share common goals and high expectations for academic achievement and excellent behavior.
This strong collaboration between the families and the school staff has provided many enriching opportunities to ensure the development of well-rounded children.  Students benefit from specialist teachers in the areas of art, music, science, physical education, and technology. Students participate in band, strings ensembles, chorus, drama, and an annual Talent Show. Cultural assemblies expand students' horizons and link learning to the community and larger world, in general.

Many events such as grade level performances, story-telling, public speaking contests, and spelling and geography bees challenge students and integrate performance and classroom learning.  Students are honored for achievements and character development at monthly assemblies and through other programs on our campus.  Students, staff, and parents work together to create a remarkable learning community.
We thank you for your support of our school and our mission.
